19 January ABC News 24

As Chair of the newly reformed Collaborative Practice Section of the Law Institute of Victoria, I have been asked to appear on National TV on ABC to discuss the merits of Collaborative Divorce. Since 2006, this future focussed non Court based method of dispute resolution has been transforming the way in which some couples are dealing with separation. Not everyone is suited to this process. Those couples who have been able to resolve their matters using Colllaborative Divorce have wanted a transparent, respectful method of dealing with all issues relating to separation – children and money matters. We work in multi-disciplinary teams outside the Court system. It means that all lawyer efforts are focussed on ending the dispute not prolonging it. I am looking forward to sharing our Collaborative community’s insights with Australia.
